New York, New York: Pre-professional Muay Thai league AFL will make its mark in New York, NY with event “PROVING GROUNDS”

On Friday April 22, event will be headlined Jayh Rodriguez who is returning to the ring since a 2019 hiatus. He will face rising star Ameer Khatab, former 2X Junior WKA Champion. “We are excited for these fighters to head this card. AFL is all about building up our athletes, and supporting them every step of the way” says Managing Director, Kit Yeung

The Co-main event for the evening will feature Terry Cho who fought for the 2018 Open Weight Class WBC Title in Seattle. Terry will face off with Daniel Ferrer in what is expected to be an action-packed affair at 170lbs

Spearheading the organizations matchmaking and talent operations, is former WKA Champion, 3x WBL Champion and FNF Middleweight Champion, Sean Hinds “I want to give fighters the chance to show their skills”, says Sean. “Without a way to support fighters on the amatuer level how can we expect the sport to grow?”

In line with New York’s Covid and venue protocols, resuming activities in the area, all bouts will take place with a live audience at the 5 star banquet hall in Queens NY.
